Today I had a Critical Reading class with Dr. Usa. I learned to The Age
of Immigration. First, teacher asked to look at illustrations to get an idea of
the topic of an article and discuss a question with partner. Next, read the
paragraph 1-7 in the first sentence and match numbers of paragraph with
question about it, scan the paragraph and highlight words or short phrases and
highlight the sentence in the paragraph that this story is a illustrates. All
of this is a technique for identify main idea. Finally, teacher asked to do
exercise for check main idea and find words in the same meaning. I think this
class was difficult because I didn’t know about new words. I gain many technique
for identify main idea. I think this class was fun and interesting. I really
enjoyed class.
